The Steps for Sarc fundraising initiative will support the organization's overall mission. While FSR does raise funds for specific research programs and initiatives, this campaign will go directly to support the overall mission.
Sarcoidosis Information
How do I explain sarcoidosis in simple, compelling terms?
Sarcoidosis (pronounced SAR-COY-DOE-SIS) is an inflammatory disease that occurs when tiny clumps of inflammatory cells (called granulomas) form in one or more organs in the body. When these tiny clumps form, they can interfere with an organ's structure and function. Sarcoidosis affects the lungs in 90% of cases, but can affect almost any organ in the body.
FSR supports initiatives focused on collaborations which advance the understanding of sarcoidosis and address the causes of the disease, the suffering of patients, and the potential for a cure for sarcoidosis. FSR has awarded and planned for nearly $10 million in grants to support innovative research projects leading to additional millions of dollars in subsequent awards to our researchers.
Can I write a check to the organization in support of a team?
Yes, you can write a check and mail to FSR in support of a Steps for Sarc team. To have your support added for the team's fundraising efforts, please include the team name or fundraiser's name on Memo section of the check.
