April Sarcoidosis Awareness Month 2026 - See Sarcoidosis

Marie Howbert

Team Jack

Welcome, and thank you so much for Taking Steps to See Sarcoidosis.

Throughout the month of April, I will be participating in the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research’s (FSR) Taking Steps to See Sarcoidosis initiative. I am taking steps and raising funds for FSR because my husband, Jack, had Neuro sarcoidosis and it impacted him greatly. I am hoping that together we can take 1.2 million steps to represent everyone around the world living with sarcoidosis and raise $25,000 to fund the critical research, patient education, and support initiatives taking place at FSR.

Sarcoidosis is a disease that many people have never heard of, yet it affects thousands of individuals and families. I myself had never heard of it prior to Jack’s diagnosis in 2016. Sarcoidosis can impact multiple organs and often goes undiagnosed or misunderstood. That’s why the work FSR is doing is so important — they fund research, provide patient support, and push toward better treatments and a cure.

Here is How You Can Help

1. Donate if you’re able — no amount is too small
2. Share this page to help spread awareness
3. Track your steps and join me in this effort and be part of something meaningful

Every bit of support means more than I can put into words. You’re not just donating — you’re helping bring hope, answers, and progress to those living with sarcoidosis.

Thank you for being part of this journey and taking Steps to See Sarcoidosis.
