As you might know, the fight against sarcoidosis is a cause that is important to me.
Michael was diagnosed at the age of 4 years old with sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is an auto immune disease that can affect multiple organs in the body. In Michael’s case it has affected his eyes, skin and bones and is painful for him at times. Michaels is doing great and his sarcoid is being managed. I feel it is important to constantly educate Michael on this life long battle. In doing so, Michael and I thought it would be great if we could do it together. April is sarcoidosis awareness month I put a team together “Not fast, Just furious”. Hoping everyone could participate by; donating to the cause, wearing purple for sarcoid and posting your pic in support of Michael. I have chosen to support the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research (FSR) by fundraising for Team KISS!

KISS stands for Kick In to Stop Sarcoidosis, and that’s what you'll be doing by supporting my page. FSR is the leading nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for this disease and improving care and treatment options for sarcoidosis patients. The funds all go directly to FSR and their programs for improving patient education, supporting patients and their caretakers, and of course, funding research to find better treatment options and one day, a cure.
