Richard "Jake" Jacobson

Richard “Jake” Jacobson passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2018 at the age of 71 surrounded by this family. He was born in Maddock, ND on Oct 4th 1946 to Lois (McCloud) and Thomas G. Jacobson. In 1965, Jake graduated from Cascade High School in Everett. He pursued his passion for art at WWU where he graduated with a major in Printmaking. Jake started his Graphic Design career at PBS (KAET Phoenix) in 1973. After moving to Seattle and marrying Dolores Andrulis in 1980, he started at ATL/Philips Medical where he retired 28 years later.

Along with his unique sense of humor, he was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, grease monkey, fantasy sports nut, and master of “dinking” around in the garage. Jake is survived by his wife Dolores; his son Gordon and wife Courtney; his son William; his mother Lois; and his granddaughter Layla. A memorial service celebrating Richard’s life will be held at the Lake Forest Park Civic Club (17301 Beach Dr NE, Lake Forest Park, WA) on April 22nd from 1- 4pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to Foundation For Sarcoidosis Research here on his memorial page.

Sarcoidosis continues to rob too many wonderful people of their lives too soon. Please join me in honoring their great legacy by helping me to advance sarcoidosis research. With no known cause or cure, thousands continue to suffer everyday. In honor of those we lost and those who continue to fight, we will work to end the suffering from this disease.

Thank you in advance for supporting !

Best,
Dolores, Gordon, and Will
