Leslie's Smile Shines On

This coming Monday, April 27, is Memorial Monday: a day to honor Sarcoidosis Warriors gone too soon. I will be doing a virtual Walk-A-Thon with the goal of 15,000 steps. My goal is to raise $500 in honor of my mom. Feel free to put on your Purple and join in.

My mom was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 1996 after suffering for quite awhile with the wrong diagnosis. Doctors assured her that it was lucky she didn't have cancer and there was hope of remission. The reality was decades of suffering for her. The disease is considered rare and research continues to be poorly funded. Experts are lacking and many patients have to travel far to get proper treatment.

Sarcoidosis continues to rob too many wonderful people of their lives too soon. Please join me in honoring their great legacy by helping me to advance sarcoidosis research. With no known cause or cure, thousands continue to suffer everyday. In honor of those we lost and those who continue to fight, we will work to end the suffering from this disease.

Thank you in advance for supporting!
