As you may know, the fight against sarcoidosis is deeply personal to me.
Sarcoidosis is a rare and often chronic inflammatory disorder that causes the formation of granulomas—clumps of inflammatory cells—in various organs. It can affect almost ANY part of the body, but it most commonly targets the lungs, lymph nodes, skin,eyes and nervous system. This disease impacts up to 200,000 Americans, yet there is still no known cure and treatment options are often limited and ineffective.
Because this cause matters so much to me, I have decided to support the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research (FSR) by fundraising for Team KISS!
KISS stands for "Kick In to Stop Sarcoidosis." By supporting my fundraising page, you’re making a direct impact in this battle. FSR is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for sarcoidosis and improving treatment options for those affected. Every dollar raised goes directly to FSR, supporting vital programs that enhance patient education, provide assistance to patients and their caregivers, and fund research aimed at discovering better treatment options and, one day, a cure.
